THE EIGHTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - 2nd March 2025
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We gather as always as a community to reflect on the profound teachings of our Lord and to prepare our hearts for His presence among us.
In the readings for this Sunday, we are reminded of the importance of trust in God’s providence. In the first reading from the Book of Sirach, we hear that a person’s character is revealed in times of trial. It encourages us to remain grounded in faith, knowing that our choices reflect our inner selves, especially when faced with challenges.
The Gospel according to Luke continues this theme, as Our Lord instructs us not to worry about our material needs, assuring us that God, who cares for the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, will certainly care for us. He invites us to seek first the Kingdom of God, reminding us that when we prioritize our relationship with Him, everything else will follow.
As we prepare to enter into this sacred mystery, let us bring our worries and concerns before the Lord, trusting in His divine care. And may our constant participation in the Mass strengthen our faith and deepen our commitment to living as true disciples of Christ.
In Christ’s love,
Father Victor
